Policy Council
Policy Council
As part of the federal Head Start Program Performance Standards, each Head Start program is required to establish and maintain a Policy Council. These representatives are responsible for the direction of the Head Start program at the agency level.
Policy Council members consist of parents of currently enrolled children and community members. Policy Council acts as a link between those people making and carrying out decisions and the families Head Start serves.
Policy Council works in partnership with Danville Head Start Pre-K leadership team and the Board of Directors to develop, review, and approve policies, strategic planning and all other business-oriented activities.
